The Auckland Hearts are Auckland’s premier women’s cricket team, with a proud history stretching back to the early 20th century. Competing in New Zealand’s top domestic competitions—the Hallyburton Johnstone Shield (List A) and the Women's Super Smash (T20)—the Hearts have long been a dominant force, renowned for both their championship success and contribution to the national side.
Over the decades, they’ve produced numerous White Ferns, including legends like Emily Drumm, Rebecca Rolls, Katie Perkins, Holly Huddleston and Rona McKenzie. They currently boast a number of international players including Maddy Green, Lauren Down, Brooke Halliday, Izzy Gaze, Molly Penfold and Fran Jonas.
With multiple Hallyburton Johnstone Shield titles and a growing Super Smash presence, the Hearts are not only successful on the field but also play a vital role in promoting inclusivity and opportunity in the sport, inspiring young female cricketers throughout the region.
