The Auckland ACES are gearing up for their next Ford Trophy challenge, set to take on the Otago Volts at University of Otago Oval on Monday, 10 February.

After a tough loss to the Central Stags at home, the ACES will be eager to respond with a strong performance in Dunedin. Adding firepower to the squad is the return of Bevon-John Jacobs, who has been playing in the ILT20 for the Mumbai Indians Emirates. Jacobs’ explosive batting earned him a spot in the Super Smash Tournament Team, alongside Danru Ferns, and the ACES will be looking for him to carry that form into the 50-over format.

With only a few rounds remaining in the competition, every game is crucial in the race for a finals spot. The Otago Volts, meanwhile, are still searching for momentum after a slow start to their campaign and will be desperate to put in a strong showing at home.
