Takapuna won the toss against Suburbs New Lynn and elected to bat first. After losing the openers early, Auckland Ace Mike Sclanders showed his class with an unbeaten 80 off 50. Sclanders and Cam Neal put on an unbeaten stand of 119 off just 57 balls for the 4th wicket, with Neal contributing an unbeaten 64 off just 33 himself. In response, Shikhar Verma (43 off 30) got Suburbs off to a good start and was backed up by Sean Playle’s 38 off 27 however, it was the Takapuna bowlers that were too strong bowling Suburbs out for 165 on the back of their frontline spinners Ed Middleton (3/35 off 3.5) and Matt Jones (2/26 off 4) to secure an 18 run win and a place in the semi-final.

Birkenhead won the toss and elected to bat first against Hibiscus Coast. There were contributions from each of the batters, primarily from Brian Barnard (51 off 32), and Sumudu Maturata (35 off 23) and support from Parikshith Narsimhan (24 off 26). Two bowlers, Ansh Patel and Quintin Taljaard, got in the wickets, picking up 2 each, with figures of 2/39 and 2/43 from each of their 4 overs, respectively. Dutch international Max O’Dowd was the highlight for Hibiscus, striking 75 from just 33 balls, including 5x6’s. James Newman (2.28 off 4) and Mayur Masand (2/27 off 4) were the pick of the bowlers for Birkenhead. Max Godfrey made 24 off 19, and Anuradha Jayampathi 30* off 26 saw his side home and through to the semi-final with 5 wickets and 8 balls to spare.

Auckland University won the toss and sent Cornwall in to bat first. After losing a couple of quick wickets, Harrish Kannan (36 off 35) and Dimithri Gallage went on to put on 72 for the 3rd wicket. Gallage went on to hit 71 off 43, which included 5x6’s, until he was dismissed by Nikheil Bhana. Bhana went on to take 3/31 from his 4 overs. Chasing 168 for a place in the semi-final, Barrington Rowland got his side off to a quick start with 22 off 12, and that momentum was carried on by Jonathan Low (62 off 52) and Josh Olliver (32 off 25), who put on 67 for the 4th wicket. Constant wickets throughout the innings, primarily by Auckland Ace Matt Gibson, who ended with 4/28 from his 4 overs, and Lucas Dasent (2/19 off 4) restricted Auckland Uni to 153, meaning Cornwall won the match by 14 runs.

Papatoetoe won the toss and sent Parnell in to bat first. After a couple of early wickets, Harry Miller (76 off 40) and Daniel Presland (60 off 35) got together and put on 126 for the 3rd wicket. Contributions from Nikith Perera (21 off 12) and William Ormiston (20 off 10) carried the momentum through the innings. 3 wickets a piece to Manav Kumar (3/39 off 4) and Prabjyot Rehal (3/40 off 4) meant Parnell finished the innings at 9/206. In response, Rehal top scored 61 off 44, opening the batting and was supported by Sukhdev Sukh (33 off 23) to put on 63 for the 3rd wicket. With few other contributions through the order thanks to four Parnell bowlers chipping in with 2 wickets each, Harry Cullen-Hieatt was the pick of them with 2/10 off 3, Aniket Parikh 2/22 (3.3 overs), James Nelson 2/25 (3 overs), and Jack Wright 2/40 (4 overs), Papatoetoe were restricted to 158 all out falling 48 runs short.

Takapuna won the toss and elected to bat first against Hibiscus Coast. There were contributions from each of the top 4 helping to see their side to 182 at the end of their 20 overs. Michael Sclanders and Tristan Van Ingen-Kal top scoring with 47, Flynn Goodley-Hollister with 43 and Quinn Sunde making 35. Chasing 183 to win, Ramesh Lakmal (38 off 24), and Aditya Rangwani (35 off 33) made 30’s but there was little other support as the Takapuna bowlers bowled their way to victory. Five, Ed Middleton (2/18), Michael Sclanders (2/20), Matt Jones (2/24), Toby Stroobant (2/30), and Peter Ruffell (2/33), of the six bowlers, picked up two wickets as Takapuna bowled Hibiscus Coast out for 135 booking their place in the final.

In the other Semi-Final, Cornwall won the toss and sent Parnell in to bat first. Parnell’s top 4 all made it into ten’s but couldn’t manage to kick on as it was Hayden Dickson at 8 who top-scored with 36 off 31. Liam Wheeler the pick of the bowlers with 3/13 off his 3.2 overs, supported by Lucas Dasent (2/24 off 4) and Samrath Singh (2/29 off 4). Chasing 116 to win, Sam Crooks (29 off 32) and Harrish Kannan (32 off 34) could take their time and set a platform for Cornwall. Nikith Perera the pick of the bowlers with 1/18 off his 4 overs but it was Lucas Dasent who finished the job for Cornwall, ending on 22* off 16 and seeing his side through to the final with 5 wickets and 8 balls to spare.

Takapuna won the toss and elected to bat first and immediately put Suburbs under pressure with each of the top four batters contributing, notably Auckland Aces players Quinn Sunde (64 from 87) and Will O’Donnell (52 off 56). Sam Collinson finished the innings for Takapuna, remaining not out on 41 from 33 to help build the score past 250. 2 wickets a piece to Luke Devereaux (2/38 off 10 overs) and Aces captain Sean Solia (2/46 off 10) helped to restrict the damage to requiring 258 to win. Shozib Mirza top-scored for Suburbs with 64 from 123 balls with help from Michael Barry (43 from 43), but Suburbs were never really able to keep up with the rate, falling 62 runs short with figures of  4/55 from 10 overs from Ed Middleton, who was the pick of the bowlers.

Cornwall won the toss and sent East Coast Bays into bat. Bay’s opening pair put on 98 for the first wicket through Ryan Schierhout, who ended up top-scoring with 79 from 78, and Luke Watson, who made 42 from 60. Both of the openers were dismissed by Rahman Hekmat, who bounced back from getting hit for a few boundaries and 6’s and ended up with figures of 3/64 from his 8 overs. Liam Wheeler was arguably the pick of the bowlers who ended his 6 overs with 3/28. Contributions throughout Bay’s top 7, including 40’s from Isaac Bird (48 off 49) and Aces wicket-keeper Cam Fletcher (47 off 50) managed to see Bays through to 301 at the end of their 50 overs. 4 Early wickets to Max Butler (finishing with 4/33 from 8 overs) put Cornwall on the back foot immediately; however, an unbeaten 103 from 111 for Harrish Kannan led the fight back. Support from Rohit Rajagopal (53 off 55) and Lucas Decent (46 off 57) gave Cornwall a chance. The ever-reliable Auckland Ace Louis Delport took 3/60 from his 10 overs as Bay’s went on to win the match by 44 runs.

Auckland University won the toss and elected to bowl first at Victor Eaves against Hibiscus Coast. 84 was put on for the first wicket, with the main contributor being Max O’Dowd, who went on to top score with 84 off 87. The University bowlers fought back with two wickets a piece for Angus Olliver (2/45 off 10), Nick Stobart (2/53 off 9) and Josh Fisher (2/61 off 10); however, the 123-run partnership by Ramesh Lakmal (83 off 86) and Anuradha Jayampathi (46 off 54) helped set up Hibiscus to make a competitive target of 288 to win. In response, Barrington Rowland opened the batting and top scored with 87 off 85 to set up the chase; with the help of Aakash Prasad (46 off 53) they managed to put on 91 for the second wicket and Nathan Robinson (39 off 50) managed to put on 69 for the 4th wicket. The Hibiscus bowlers kept the game in the balance with 2 wickets for Aditya Rangwani (2/43 off 10), Ansh Patel (2/40 off 7) and Connor MacCarthy-Morrogh (2/79 off 10); however, it was Jonathan Low who finished the game off for Uni with an unbeaten 67 off 54 to secure the win by 3wickets and 8 deliveries.

North Shore won the toss and elected to bat first against the hosts, Parnell. Batters struggled to turn their starts into scores for Shore, with Riley Mudford top-scoring with 39 from 28, closely followed by Will Clarke, who made 38 off 40. Wickets were shared around most of the Parnell bowlers on their way to bowling Shore out; Nikith Perera was arguably the pick of the bowlers with returns of 3/28 from his 8 overs. Chasing 184 for victory numbers 3 and 4, James Nelson (73 off 93) and Aniket Parikh (62 off 62) put on 121 for the 3rd wicket and managed to bat Parnell into a position of dominance helping to see their side through to a 6 wicket win with 13.2 overs to spare.

Grafton won the toss and elected to bat first against the hosts, Birkenhead. Dylan Taylor got his side off to a good start, opening the batting and making 49 from 47. There were strong contributions from each of the upper middle order, with Garth Olliff top scoring with 66 from 70, Sineth Gunawardane making an unbeaten run a ball 61* from 61, and Taine Bayly 41 from 46, setting up a target of 291 to win. Dinesh Kharel was the pick of the bowlers for Birkenhead, picking up 3/48 with the other wickets shared around. In response, Brian Barnard was the headline for Birkenhead, making 105 from 111, including five 6’s and was supported by James Newman (43 from 55) and Ashail Kariyawasam (35 from 38). Dylan Taylor carried on his good all-round performance picking up 3/56 from his 10 overs, as did Sineth Gunawardane, who backed up his unbeaten 61 with 3/52 from his 10 overs to help restrict Birkenhead to 283 all out and secure a 7-run win.

Ellerslie won the toss and sent the visitors, Howick Pakuranga, in to bat. There were contributions from 3,4 and 5, notably David Winn, who struck 66* off 35, and Josh McGregor, who made 64 off 78. However, the day belonged to Liam Winn, who went on to score a massive 202 off just 144 balls in an innings that included 14x6’s and 13x4’s. Roshan Reji took 2/51 from 9 overs, including the big wicket of Liam Winn, however it wasn’t enough to stop Howick from making 392 from their 50 overs. Yash Malik (52 from 57) and Benjamin Wilson (71 from 61) did their best to try to get their side close; however, through Caine Bethune (3/27 off 5.2 Overs) and Kimesh Chetty (3/57 off 10 Overs), Howick went on to bowl Ellerslie out for 213 and ensure a 179 run win.

Papatoetoe won the toss and elected to bat first against Waitakere. Prabjyot Rehal was the headline, scoring 100 runs more than the next best with 141 from 139 deliveries, which included a 106-run partnership with Mantej Singh (41 off 54), who were the main contributors to see Papatoetoe through to 7/310. Rehal was eventually dismissed by Prasansana Jayamanne, who went on to take 3/34 from 6 overs and was the pick of the bowlers for the visitors. In response, Rushil Chavda was the main contributor with 77 from 65, but with little support around him, Waitakere went on to lose the match by 108, thanks to Aseem Wadhwa, who picked up 4/27 from 7 overs, including the big wicket of Chavda to help see his side home.

Eden Roskill won the toss against Kumeu and continued the trend of the round, which was that it was a great day to be a batter. The Roskill openers put on 215 for the first wicket thanks to a big hundred from Damien van den Berg (153 off 100), including 13x6’s, and a run-a-ball 76 from Swayam Desai. Once they were dismissed, there was no let-off with Auckland Ace Harjot Johal showing he can do just as much damage with the bat as he can with the ball, striking a rapid-fire 87 from just 35. Hemadri Chakraborty finished with 58 from just 27 as he carried the momentum on as Eden Roskil finished with a massive 458 from their 50 overs. In a chase that was always going to be tough, opener Zohaib Rais gave Kumeu some hope by top scoring in their innings with 73 from 84 and further helped by Kabir Shingala who made 52 from 44. The mountain was too high to climb, however, as Johal finished with 3/29 from 8 overs, rounding out a complete performance to see Roskill through to a comfortable win by 212 runs with the help of 3 wickets by Dev Ratra.

Neena Woollaston (24* off 24) and Saachi Shahri (24 off 34) top-scored for Howick, but the batters weren’t able to gain any momentum and only managed to make 87 from their 20 overs. None of the bowlers went at more than a run a ball for Auckland Uni, with Ananya Sharma picking up 2 for 24 from her 4 overs and was their top wicket-taker. It was a one-woman show in the chase, with Auckland Heart Prue Catton making 63* from just 36 balls to see her side comfortably home with 9 wickets and more than 11 overs to spare.

Chasing 124 for victory, batters struggled to get going with just three making it into double figures with Ella Drumm backing up her 3 wickets with the top score of 18 off 23. Eve Meachen backed up her 42 with 3 wickets of her over taking 3/13 from 3 overs along with Breearne Illing (2/14 off 4 overs) helping to restrict Parnell to 91 and win the match by 32 runs.

Yasmeen Kareem carried her bat through the innings, finishing on 87* from 67 balls, and was supported by Cate Pedersen, who made a quick-fire 31 from 19. In response, Neena Woollaston top scored with 24 from 27 but had little support as Howick was bowled out for 86, falling 77 runs short. Renee Macmillan was the main destroyer, taking 3/15 from 4 overs with support from Ana Wijffels who picked up two wickets from her 4.

There was a glimmer of hope for Cornwall as they took the first three wickets for just nine runs, but through Jesse Prasad (21 from 25), they were able to get control back in the innings and chase down the required 60 runs with 5 wickets in hand and 7 overs to spare.

In response Gwen Davies continued her good form for the day scoring 70 from 55 and while she was dismissed towards the end of the chase, the hard work was already done ensuring Suburbs chase down 102 for the second time in the day.

North Shore won the toss at Onewa Domain and elected to bat first. The first over was highly eventful, with the first three balls all going to the fence for boundaries off the bat of Juandre Johnson and the fourth taking his wicket to end his short and sweet innings. This brought Rustin Langford to the crease, who was the main contributor to the North Shore innings with 40 from just 22 balls in an innings with three 4’s and three 6’s. The Ruffell brothers picked up 5 of the 9 wickets to fall, with Peter taking 3 (3/14 from 4 overs) and Spike taking 2 (2/20 off 3). Christian Scott finished the innings strong for North Shore with 27* off 15 to take some momentum into the second innings; however, regular wickets meant there were no real partnerships of note to take the game away from Takapuna, setting them a target of 153 to win. The match was evenly poised after the first powerplay with Takapuna 1/40 and their two Aces players Quinn Sunde (25 off 25) and Michael Sclanders (29 off 24) at the crease. Will Clarke, who was the pick of the North Shore bowlers, went on to take 3/19 off his 4 overs, which included the big wickets of Sunde and Sclanders and by the time his spell was finished Takapuna needed 48 off the final five overs. The wicket of Sclanders brought Toby Stroobant to the crease, who played a gem of an innings, taking the game right down to the last couple of balls with Takapuna needing 6 to win off the last over. Stroobant finished up on 39* off 18 balls leading Takapuna to victory with just 2 balls remaining.

Hibiscus Coast sent the hosts, East Coast Bays, into bat, putting Bays under immediate pressure by picking up two wickets inside the powerplay. Constant wickets throughout the innings meant Bays had little momentum through the innings, with Brodie Harrison the top scorer in the top 7 with 23 from 25 playing the anchoring role. Ansh Patel 3/15 (4 Overs) was the chief destroyer for Hibiscus, with each of the other bowlers picking up a wicket. Kyle Kieser (29 from 22) and Matthew Ross (19 from 13) put on 46 for the eighth wicket, helping to push the score up to 138 and make it competitive and giving the Bays bowlers something to bowl to. Max Butler got the ball rolling, picking up the big wicket of Dutch international Max O’Dowd in his first over and went on to be the pick of the bowlers, finishing with 3/14 from his 4 overs. Most of the top five batters contributed, including Anuradha Jayampathi (36 (39)), Umesh Ranaraja (25 (22)), and Ramesh Lakmal (23 (15). Kieser continued on his good game by picking up 3/23 from 3 overs, helping to bowl Bays to victory by 3 runs in a final-over thriller.

Birkenhead won the toss against the hosts, Suburbs New Lynn, and elected to bat. Both openers got starts, with Parikshith Narsimhan outscoring his partner, going on to make 30 from 29 until they were both dismissed by Lithira Fonseka, who went on to take three wickets for just 18 runs from his four overs. Dinesh Kharel top scored with 34 from 22, including three 6’s; however, the pressure was kept on through Malay Patel, who took 3/35 from 4 overs, helping to restrict Birkenhead to 8/149. Birkenhead started their bowling innings exactly as they would’ve hoped, taking early wickets and restricting Suburbs to just 3/15 by the end of the powerplay and then 4/44 at the halfway stage of their chase. Parikshith Narsimhan added 3/13 from his 4 overs to round out a good all-round performance, opening the batting and bowling. Shozib Mirza opened the batting and batted through the innings, remaining unbeaten on 43 from 52. It wasn’t until Sam Devereaux came to the crease in the tenth over that Suburbs started upping the scoring rate with his innings of 45* off 30, but it was too little too late as Birkenhead went on to win by 25 runs.

Waitakere won the toss and elected to bowl first against Kumeu. Akash Christian top-scored for the hosts with 33 off 38, followed by Kabir Shingala who got 23 off 15. There were starts with scored in the teens from numbers 4-7, helping to get Kumeu through to 144. Three Waitakere bowlers finished with 2 wickets and almost identical figures from their four overs, Rushil Chavda 2/25, Quin Downie 2/26, Siddharth Patel 2/27. The Kumeu bowlers proved too strong for the Waitakere batters with only numbers 1 and 11 making it into the 20’s with opener Tejas Patel making 23 (19) and number 11 Imran Hussain making 20* (17). The headline bowler for Kumeu was Shahzad Ahmadzai who returned  3/10 (3 Overs), with 2 wickets a piece for Akash Christian (2/17 from 4 overs), Soliman Sahibzada (2/22 from 3.4 overs) and Kiran Ahir with just 11 runs scored off his 4 overs (2/11 off 4).

Parnell won the toss and elected to bat first in their match against Cornwall. William Ormiston dominated the batting scorecard, making 68 from 45, while eight other batters couldn’t make it past 6. Samrath Singh was the main wicket-taker for Cornwall, taking 3/33 from his 4 overs, helped by Rahman Hekmat 2/15 (4 Overs) and Liam Wheeler 2/25 (4 Overs) to restrict Parnell to 132 from their 20 overs. Cornwall’s innings had a similar theme to it with Sam Crooks opening the batting and was unbeaten on 62 from 57; however, he had help from others, including a 59-run partnership with Harrish Kannan (20 off 19). There was a wicket a piece for James Nelson (1/10 off 2 overs), Nikith Perera (1/22 from 4 overs) and Aniket Parikh (1/35 from 4 overs) but it wasn’t enough as Cornwall went on to win with 5 balls and 6 wickets remaining.

Their openers put on 85 for the first wicket, with Damien van der Berg making 40 from 22 and Dev Ratra top-scoring for the innings with 54 off 38, hitting three 6’s a piece. Dylan Taylor was the main destroyer for Grafton, picking up 4/32 from his 4 overs. Sahil Rawat (39* from 23) was able to finish the innings and help set Grafton 180 for victory. In response, Sineth Gunawardane top-scored with 50 (32) until he was dismissed by Auckland Ace Harjot Johal  (2/37 from 4 overs). The remaining wickets were shared between the other bowlers. Contributions through the order, including Ross Ter Braak 24 (23) and Jack Duffy 23 (13), meant that the game went down to the last over, with Grafton needing 21. Johal, the bowler, held his nerve and secured victory for Eden Roskill by 8 runs.

Auckland University won the toss and elected to bat first against Howick Pakuranga. Nathan Robinson (65 off 40) and Jonathon Low (41 off 26) put on 95 for the second wicket to help set a highly respectable total of 185 for Howick Pakuranga to win. There were two wickets a piece for Selwin Sanjay (2/38 off 4),  Caine Bethune (2/35 off 4), and Josh Kingdon (2/30 off 4). In response, the chase was set up by Adam Jones, who made 70 not out of 45 balls and was supported by Noah Scordino (46 off 29) and Vir Chib (30 off 19), which included a 59 and 73 run partnership respectfully to see Howick home. From University’s perspective, Nikheil Bhana picked up 2/36 from his four overs with a wicket a piece for Caleb Jasmat and Nick Stobart, but Howick was able to get home with 4 balls and 6 wickets to spare.

Wickets were shared with Pahul Virk 2/15 (3 Overs), the pick of the bowlers. In response, the Papatoetoe openers made light work of the chase, each making 60’s with Ritapraj Gill making 65 off 38 and Prabjyot Rehal remaining unbeaten on 62* off 36 to cruise to victory by 9 wickets and 6.5 overs.
