Auckland Cricket Development Foundation

General Information

Auckland Cricket Development Foundation

The Auckland Cricket Development Foundation (ACDF) exists to fund the ongoing growth and strength of cricket across Auckland. Find out more about how it operates via the links below.

The Auckland Cricket Development Foundation was established in September 2001 by the Auckland Cricket Association. It is an independent charitable trust created with a view to establish, invest and secure a capital sum in perpetuity to help secure the long term future of cricket in the Auckland region. The income from capital will be used purely for the development of cricket in Auckland with the prime target area being junior cricket.

The Foundation appeals to potential donors (individuals or companies), prepared to contribute in the knowledge their donation will benefit cricket in Auckland in perpetuity. Foundation funds will not be consumed as day-to-day operating expenses incurred in running the game.

The philosophy of the Foundation is to source funding which is outside the normal income streams available to the Auckland Cricket Association. We will build up a capital sum which will not be distributed, but the income will be made available to Auckland Cricket for specific projects upon application.

Since its inception the Foundation has made steady progress in building its capital fund and at the same time has been able to instigate a number of targeted projects including the establishment of player scholarships, the funding of artificial pitches and the provision of scorebooks to junior teams.
