Auckland University Cricket Club Incorporated (AUCC) | General Manager 

The General Manager position is an exciting opportunity and the role is seen as a key contributor, and responsible for, the effective leadership, growth of revenue, development, and management of AUCC. The successful candidate will manage the club’s entire operations across both junior and senior sections, including coaching and administration staff, and work closely with the club's Board. They will be responsible for implementation of the club's operational plan, as dictated by the Club's Strategic Plan and priorities.

Reporting to the Chair of the Board, the General Manager will have overall responsibility for all aspects of the club’s strategic execution. The key accountabilities include:

  • Leadership and management
  • Member and patron satisfaction
  • Financial sustainability
  • Planning and reporting
  • Liaison and communication
  • Commercial development and growth
  • Facilities and events

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about sports administration. You will need to be well organised and strong on communication and building relationships with key stakeholders at all levels across the Auckland Cricket region, including local secondary schools, Auckland Council, and AUCC’s current sponsors, while having the opportunity to continue the momentum that has been created in recent years. We consider that sound operational risk-management and financial skills are important, and innovation, drive and enthusiasm are essential.  The successful applicant will find a club built on over 100 years of history and tradition that caters for all kinds of people, young and old, big and small, shy or bold, across the wider community. Attitude, enthusiasm, loyalty, and a willingness to learn new skills and be part of the team, both on and off the field, are what really matter at AUCC.

Suburbs New Lynn | Premier Squad Coach


Are you an experienced cricket coach with a passion for developing the players you work with? If so, then look no further.

Suburbs New Lynn Cricket Club is seeking a coach for our Men’s Premier Squad for the 2022/23. Suburbs is one of the largest and most successful cricket clubs in New Zealand with just under 1000 members. The Premier team has enjoyed great success over the last 10 years winning the Auckland Cricket Two Day, One Day and T20 competitions multiple times. Suburbs has produced many BLACKCAPS including Martin Guptill, Ajaz Patel, Jeet Raval and Jimmy Neesham.

Our Premier and Premier Reserve Teams train together in a single squad in our purpose-built indoor training centre at Ken Maunder Park in New Lynn. This excellent facility offers the perfect training environment for both the coach and players. Key responsibilities within the role include:

▪ Designing and leading Premier squad pre-season training (August/September)
▪ Team trainings – Tuesday and Thursday, 5.30-7.30pm at Ken Maunder Park
▪ Team selections
▪ Game Days

If you fit the above criteria (a Level 2 coaching qualification is desirable but not essential), and are an energetic, professional, enthusiastic individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and would like to positively impact people’s lives, we want to hear from you! The Southland Cricket Association (SCA) has set itself the strategic goals of growing the game in the region, hosting outstanding cricket events, having successful representative teams and being financially secure.
