Rosmini College have finished their 2019 Gillette Cup campaign on a high after defeating Lindisfarne College by seven wickets.

The North Shore-school finished fifth at the National First XI tournament after two wins and three losses. Christchurch St. Andrews College defeated Hamilton Boys’ High School on the final day to lift the trophy.

Highlights for Rosmini College included hundreds by Cameron Lowry (112) and Cameron Howell (113*), while Jordan Gatley took ten wickets, finishing the tournament as the second-highest wicket-taker. 

Tournament Results: Rosmini College, fifth.

Rosmini 197 (D Winter 62, I Miller 35, C Lowry 34, E O’Donoghue 3-29, J Dinan 3-34) lost to Hamilton Boys’ High School 198/4 (B Hayman 87, K Clarke 58) by six wickets.

St Andrew’s College 302/8 (Z Foulkes 112, J Frew 43, R Mariu 39, J Gatley 3-68) defeated Rosmini 129 (B Harrison 49, C Hotton 3-19, J Frew 3-61) by 173 runs.

Otago Boys’ High School 247/7 (J Cumming 100, X Chisholm 54, T Wilson 36, J Gatley 4-38) lost to Rosmini 248/6 (B Harrison 64, S Charleton-Maunder 38, A Wilson 4-39) by four wickets.

Rosmini 251/8 (C Lowry 112, C Howell 55, B Hart 3-46) lost to Wellington College 254/9 (S French 73, O Jackson 35, I Miller 3-32) by one wicket.

Lindisfarne 282/5 (J Hammond 82, H Mowat 62, S Ferguson 37) lost to 283/3 (C Howell 113*, D Winter 78, B Harrison 54) by seven wickets.
