The Cricket Express Auckland U19 Women have impressed in Lincoln this week, securing second-place at the National Tournament.
On the back of hampered preparation and limited matchplay, the side came together to finish with a 4-2 record across five 50-Over fixtures and a solitary T20.
Emma Irwin hit the tournament’s only century, an unbeaten 100 against Northern Districts, to sit atop the leading runscorers with 265 runs. Fellow opener Anna Browning put together three fifties to finish with 222 runs for the tournament.
While dominant victories of Canterbury and Northern Districts had several excellent individual performances, the side were asked over Wellington (four runs) and Otago (three wickets)
