The Auckland ACES have made one change to their Plunket Shield ahead of a Round Six clash with the Otago Volts in Invercargill.

With batsman Mark Chapman called up to the BLACKCAPS ODI squad to take on Australia, Cole Briggs comes into the 12-man squad.

Briggs, 23, is in line for a First-Class debut after making a stellar start to his List-A career with scores of 101 and 99 from his first two knocks.

The ACES head to Queen’s Park for their final away fixture of the season knowing the time is now if they are to bridge the gap at the top of the table.

While the ACES remain undefeated in this year’s Plunket Shield, it will take a special run-home to overtake Canterbury, who currently lead the third-placed ACES by 36 points.
