The Auckland ACES head to Queenstown for Saturday’s Ford Trophy Final full of confidence after a record-breaking week at home.

The second-placed ACES will duel with the Central Stags, just two days after securing a four-wicket win over the same opponents at Kennards Hire Community Oval.

The finalists split their regular season clashes and will arrive at John Davies Oval a win away from 50-over glory.

Ben Lister and Sean Solia return to a 13-strong squad, ready to rejoin the attack once again.

The ACES journey to the final has been one full of runs, with George Worker leading the way on 606, while Mark Chapman, Glenn Phillips, Martin Guptill and skipper Robert O’Donnell round out the top five runscorers in the competition.

Notably, all five players have scored centuries during this campaign, with Worker having scored a record four.

Lockie Ferguson has set the tone with the ball, while the spin duo of Will Somerville and Adithya Ashok have taken a combined 21 wickets.

The Ford Trophy Final is set for 11AM this Saturday at John Davies Oval, Queenstown (behind closed doors).
