Ever since Lockie Ferguson won the national fast bowling competition as a schoolboy the Parnell speedster has had the reputation of being one of the quickest bowlers on the circuit.
Ferguson forced his way onto the Aces contracted players list ahead of the 2012/13 season and made three first-class appearances during that campaign. After suffering through injury setbacks in his first two seasons with Auckland, Ferguson enjoyed a highly impressive effort with the ball in 2015/16. Ferguson picked up three five wicket hauls as he helped lead the Auckland attack in the Plunket Shield. Ferguson gained further experience in the shorter formats as he looked to improve his control to go along side his well known pace.
