Storm causes day two abandonment

Wild weather overnight has caused the abandonment of day two of the NZCT National Club Champs at Cornwall Park.

The huge volume of rain and high winds has caused the fields to be deemed unplayable with several trees uprooted at the park.

Players and organisers will come back tomorrow and look to get the tournament underway with artificial pitches being considered as an option.

Tomorrow’s fixtures:

North East Valley (Otago) vs Onslow (Well)

Napier Tech Old Boys (CD) vs Pukekohe Metro (ND)

Cornwall (Akl) vs Burnside West (Cant)
