Rain washes away first two days of NZCT Club Champs

Persistent rain in Auckland has meant the first two days of the NZCT National Club Championships have been abandoned.

The remnants of cyclone Debbie have been punishing the region in the past 48 hours with potentially the worst still to hit.

Despite covered pitches and bowlers run ups the ground has taken on too much water overnight to have any realistic chance of play this afternoon.

Players will return tomorrow where we will hopefully see some cricket!

Tomorrow’s fixtures:

United v Albion

Takapuna v Old Boys Collegians

Mount Maunganui v Eastern Suburbs
