Hearts start prep for 2017/18 season

The Auckland Hearts women’s cricket team are back together and have started preparation for the 2017/18 season.

Both the coaching staff and players are eager to get stuck into another domestic season and in a new initiative the team will venture across the Tasman in their pre-season program to play the Queensland Fire in Brisbane.

Official training started 1 August with the new player induction training commencing mid-July.

Coach Dean Flyger is energised about the season ahead and looking forward to the challenge of having a few new girls in the mix.

“We are all pretty excited about training and playing in Queensland in November,” Flyger says.
