Raval, de Grandhomme nab first BLACKCAPS contracts
Colin de Grandhomme and Jeet Raval have picked up their first New Zealand Cricket central contracts as part of the 21 contracted players for the 2017-18 year.
They join fellow Auckland Aces Martin Guptill, Mitchell McClenaghan and Colin Munro who retain their contracts from last season.
BLACKCAPS selector Gavin Larsen noted de Grandhomme and Raval’s productive summers with the BLACKCAPS last season aided in gaining them contracts.
“Colin made a breakthrough last summer and is rated well in all three formats [while] Jeet’s Test numbers speak for themselves,” Larsen says.
Players offered central contracts for 2017-18: Corey Anderson, Trent Boult, Neil Broom, Colin de Grandhomme, Martin Guptill, Matt Henry, Tom Latham, Mitchell McClenaghan, Adam Milne, Colin Munro, Henry Nicholls, James Neesham, Jeet Raval, Mitchell Santner, Ish Sodhi, Tim Southee, Ross Taylor, Neil Wagner, BJ Watling, Kane Williamson, George Worker.
