Last season Auckland Cricket formed a partnership with Cancer Society Auckland to help them promote some of their key messages. 

We all know the slip, slop, slap and wrap message by now (and if you don't click here) but did you know that the Cancer Society sunscreen can provide you with some of the best protection out there?

This season Auckland Cricket is exclusively using Cancer Society sunscreen as our official sunscreen and with the help of Cancer Society Auckland and Brand Support we'll be supplying clubs with over 350 tubes of sunscreen this summer.

Auckland Cricket CEO Mark Cameron was delighted with the announcement.

"We understand that cricket exposes players to risks from the the effects of the sun so it's excellent news that we're able to provide our clubs with some great protection and at the same time strengthen our relationship with Cancer Society Auckland."

Likewise Cancer Society Auckland CEO John Loof was pleased to be getting the sunscreen message to Auckland's cricket playing public.

"A lot of what we do is about creating behaviours and we hope that providing people, and especially children, with the reminder to take some sunscreen to the cricket we'll be helping create some lifelong habits."

Remember that with every purchase of Cancer Society sunscreen a portion of that dollar value goes to the Cancer Society to assist in the work that they do both in cancer research and in assisting those affected by the disease.

So this summer if you're running low on sunscreen and you need some more grab one with the little daffodil on the pack and you'll be doing yourself and your kids a favour as well as helping out the Cancer Society.
